Victoria Day is right around the corner and you know what that means… long weekend! Living in Edmonton’s North West in McConachie provides an array of activities, and with a long weekend on the agenda, there’s no better time to tick some things off your ‘to-do’ list. On the sunny side
Make a splash at Woodlands Waterpark
Pack up the car and head 15 minutes West on Anthony Henday Drive and arrive at the Woodlands Water Play Park. Set to open on May 15, this water park is equipped with 20 spray features, a dry playground, snack shack and change rooms. Spend the long-weekend outside and enjoy the sunshine at the waterpark (free of admission charge!).
Strap on your hiking boots
Offering a number of trails varying in difficulty, Elk Island National Park promises a day of adventure and fresh alpine air. Whether it’s for a tasteful picnic, a stroll through the woods or to seek a challenge, there is something suitable for the whole family. Just a 30-minute drive east of the community, a national park awaits you!
